Political ideology is used in justifying a belief system , in to bring before the society a conceived way of conducting political activities in a state . An administration in power thus through political ideology explain and justify its ideas and mode of operating . in return . Thus , this manifesto is inscribed in its political ideology . In contemporary times , political parties , as they differ , tend to uphold different ideologies . It is then expected that members of such party follow the ideology of the political party

Ideology is a set of belief system that is used in justifying the adoption of an idea , as a way to bring about change in a given political society . According to Bardes et al (2003 : 23 , An ideology is closely linked with a set of belief about the goals of politics and the most desired political . The political ideologies of United states has moved from a continuum from the right wing to the left , seeking to bring about political security and winning the trust of the citizenry . While the Liberals seek to bring about economic and social freedom , they believe it is the responsibility of government to enforce economic opportunities that gives the people equal chance of empowering themselves economically . On the other hand the Conservatives believe that government has grown too large , and that the local government should be given the autonomy to make decisive decisions of their own Also , they strongly advocate the liberalization and less intervention of government on the operations of the private sector . Thus , they believe individual are responsible for its own well being “The Conservatives are also the Republican , but not all Republicans share the Conservative views (ibid : 24

POLITICAL IDEOLOGY OF US GOVERNMENT HOW IT CHANGE ITS GOVERNEMNT PHILOSOPHY AND ACTIVITIES IN THE PAST 25 YEARS

The current events of things in a state go a long way in influencing the pattern of how politicians structure their political ideology . In contemporary times , with the intensity of the activities of terrorists attack , the United State government have tightened its security and adopted an ideology that tend to expand its fight against terrorism outside its bs , e .g . in Iraq and Afghanistan . In this same vein Johnston (2001 , have it that after the September 11 attacks the US government have adopted an ideology aimed at tightening its security measures across the country . With the need to secure the country government relationship with other government are strengthened or weakened depending on the side of the fence they belong in the US fight against terrorism
